Taylor and Associates, Inc. risk assessment surveys are designed for and utilized by commercial insurance underwriters, program managers, and insurers. Our in-field risk managers are specialists in outdoor recreation. They have the training and experience to analyze and evaluate all aspects of an outdoor recreation business. Administration, operations, facilities, equipment, livestock, management, and personnel are examined through the prism of industry standards and the cumulative results of thousands of previous on-site assessments.

We provide a comprehensive written review of our findings. Each report includes photographs of all pertinent features, comments on policies and procedures, and recommendations for compliance or improvement. We conduct Surveys in all 50 states. Our fees for standard risk assessment surveys can be computed on a flat or hourly basis.

Education

We feel that solid, professional information is fundamental to safety and success in the outdoor recreation industry. Accordingly, we offer our suggestions to clients in the form of Risk Management Guides and Seminars.

Risk Management Guides
Our Risk Management Guides include specific standards and performance requirements as well as technical information and proven techniques for managing inherent risk. Seminars
For a more personal and interactive educational format, we will prepare and conduct seminars for a particular group and outdoor topic of interest. These services are available for individual businesses, regional association meetings, and conventions.

Consulting

Our consulting services have been utilized by new and prospective outdoor business owners as well as those desiring to change their existing activities or safety program. One of our trained and experienced risk managers will visit the facility, hear the owner’s plans and desires, discuss courses of action and provide written recommendations. Fees are based on a daily rate plus expenses for the risk manager.

Accident Examination

When a significant accident or incident occurs, it may be prudent for an impartial professional observer to investigate and assess the mishap. Independent of any claims procedure, we can help determine the cause and offer preventive measures. Having observed, evaluated and participated in thousands of outdoor risk scenarios over the past decade and a half, there are few situations that would stump us. As in other consultations, fees are charged at a daily rate plus expenses.
